Here are some photos of Olivia and Anne....24 years apart. What a blast it's been!
I'm just amazed sometimes at how blessed we've been. I can't imagine what our life would have been like without having Anne and Robin to share it. And now we have Olivia to love.... Life is good!
I love to experiment. So while waiting for my last client on New Years Eve, I lit some incense and photographed the results. I thought it was pretty cool....
The cutest grandbaby in the known universe is growing and thriving. And boy howdy, does she love her grampa! Here's a photograph I did of her last night....& oh, her parents were there as well....
I think the color is great for now and the black and white for later...what do you think?
I have new work at the Full Moon Gallery this month. The gallery is located on Main Street and is part of the Magic Valley Arts Council. Stop by and take a look. Here are a couple of them...
Lest you think all I do is photograph my beautiful grandbaby, I thought I'd tell you about my not so secret passion. I am absolutely crazy for black and white images!
Of course, I don't think everything should be done in black and white.....just the important things.
I developed my 1st roll of B&W film in 1973 and became totally hooked. I studied the Ansel Adams books and learned the Zone System which I still use with digital. I then went through my Minor White Zen stage followed by my "practical period" with Fred Picker. I still use Fred's wooden "best damn tripod in the world". It really has been my best loved tripod.....for over twenty years.
I saw John Sexton in Salt Lake City and learned I could mix the art of it with the practical stuff.
Now, of course, everything is digital. I could never go back to just film. Digital has made me love B&W even more. Studying with photographers like Darton Drake, Tim Walden, and Marc Hauser has inspired me to greater heights. It's wonderful to be a photographer in this day and age!
I'm a portrait photographer from Twin Falls, Idaho. I love people and love to laugh. I've been married to my sweetheart for 28 years and have been a working photographer since 1978. I have two married daughters, an incredible grand daughter and a siamese cat.
